A father brings his son to a hunter's cabin in the taiga to keep him there while he is suffering through withdrawal, to try and make him overcome his drug addiction. At the same time, a rabies outbreak occurs and the whole district is quarantined. The father/son relationship is challenged against the backdrop of both a heroin frenzy and the virus frenzy among local animals.
